There are two types of arbitration, non-binding, and binding. Binding arbitration obligates you to any decision that is reached at the hearing. Non-binding arbitration, on the other hand, will be presented to you as a loose option, such that if you do not like the results, you can take your case back to the traditional court system. Unfortunately, the results of the non-binding arbitration hearing can be used against you if you take your case back to court. For that reason, we recommend against arbitration of either type.
